Business Development and Resource Mobilisation Consultants

The Kitabi College of Conservation and Environmental Management (KCCEM) is located on the outskirts of Nyungwe National Park, 54km from Butare, on the main Kigali — Rusizi road. It is an academic institution, operating under the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), with the mandate to develop capacity in Conservation, Tourism and Environmental Management in Rwanda and the wider Albertine Rift Region. In the course of rendering its core mandate, KCCEM needs to hire qualified dedicated and experienced Professional to fill the following positions:

Job Title: Business Development and Resource Mobilisation Consultants

Reports to: Principal


DUTIES, ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Business Development, Marketing and Communication
  • Project Management and Teambuilding
  • Partner Liaison, Fundraising/resource mobilization.
  • Others as detailed in the job description


REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCE & EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in business, development economics, environmental economics with special expertise in project design and implementation, project management and resource mobilization.
  • At least 5 years' experience working in a business development role in a corporate environment or an international NGO, social enterprise or government department preferably in the fields of natural resources, resource mobilization and partnership building.
  • At least 3 years' corporate marketing and branding experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience developing, writing and delivering external communication programs (preferably in an international context).
  • Experience in developing high-quality written content for different communication channels including emails, adverts, presentations, etc.
  • 3 years' experience of developing and implementing partnership development activities.
  • Extensive use of project management approaches including setting project plans, budgets and schedules, monitoring and evaluation, etc
  • Proven successful track record in fundraising and proposal writing for environment , tourism and natural resources management and capacity building projects
  • Good understanding of the environment, tourism issues in the capacity building context in Rwanda and the Albertine rift region in general.
