Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) was created by the law no54/2010 of 25th January 2011 establishing Rwanda Biomedical center (RBC) and determining its mission, organization and functioning. The vision of the RBC is to become a Center of Excellence for the prosperity of the country, ensuring quality health service delivery, education and research. It has a mission of promoting quality affordable and sustainable health care services to the population through innovative land evidence based interventions land practices guided by ethics and professionalism.

To achieve RBC mission and mandate, the RBC is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following vacant posts:

Director of Health Technology and Infrastructure Planning Unit Ref: RBC/ MTI/007

Terms of reference

  •     Strategic for Healthcare technology and operation planning
  •     Lead and ensure norms and standards for medical equipments are available
  •     Provide policy and lead the national organization of healthcare technology system
  •     Establishing both annual and multi-year investment plan of medical equipments to be purchased
  •     Perform need assessment in the health facilities of equipments to be purchased
  •     Lead and produce technical specifications to be used for medical equipments procurement
  •     Conduct an evaluation process of the suitable technology in healthcare technology management and analysis of return of investment
  •     Strategic for Health infrastructure and operation planning
  •     Provide a coherent plan for infrastructure to be designed and constructed
  •     Establishing annual and multi-year planning of health infrastructure projects
  •     Delivers comprehensive evaluation of direct reports complete with development plans followed up by active coaching; ensures that staff under him/her are evaluated and developed


Requirements
At least A0 in Biomedical Engineering, clinical engineering with experience in health infrastructure design or A0 in Civil engineering or architecture, electronic or electromechanical engineering having at least 3 in related n r elated field or Master in Biomedical engineering with 1 Year experience.
