Organisational Development Coordinator - World Vision Rwanda

World Vision International (Rwanda) is a child focused Christian humanitarian organization implementing development programs in 15 Districts of Rwanda.

World Vision seeks to hire a highly qualified, dedicated and experienced national for the position of Organisational Development Coordinator. This position will be based at the World Vision Rwanda Head Office, Kacyiru, Kigali and reporting to the People & Culture Director.

Purpose of the position:

The role is responsible for coordinating the implementation of P&C related objectives in the NO strategy, policies and organizational structures that build enhanced levels of performance and accountability across the NO. It also supports the P&C Director in the provision of thought leadership and best practice solutions to building and sustaining a high performance culture across the NO and ensuring that organizational structures are aligned to strategy.

Reporting to the P&C Director this role will co-ordinate the implementation of global / regional P&C initiatives within the NO , assist in the development of change management programs and support systems required to meet the unique needs of the NO and ensure the realization of the change benefits. Supporting, measuring and reporting on P&C metrics will be central.

Will also handle the coordination of employ relations management, enterprise risk management, staff communications and workforce planning.

The major responsibilities include:

Strategy Development &Organisational design

    Participate in the development / revision of the National Office strategy.

    Assist with the establishment of organizational design guidelines / principles and provision of advisement in the area of organizational design and development to ensure alignment between strategy and structure.

    Track the consistent application of design principles within the organisation and ensure that necessary approvals are obtained for exceptions.

Change Management

Provide support to the implementation of a change management approach and building of change management capacity that ensures the National Office will move from current state to future desired state in an efficient and effective manner that realize the desired objectives / benefits of the change initiative.

Culture change (TEECAP)

Assist with the development, implementation and review of various mechanisms to ensure establishment of or embed the organisational TEECAP culture and other relevant cultures that will enable the achievement of the organisation's vision and goal.

Risk Management tracking

Support the P&C management team in the identification of risks, ensuring that controls are in place to mitigate the identified risk and working with audit to test the controls.

Staff Communications

Work with Communications Dept to ensure that relevant information is communicated to staff in a timely and concise manner using various channels of communications.

Employee Relations and Integrity & Protection Reporting

    Support P&C Management in the area of employee relations and IPR by tracking the trends (ie. the number of cases and how long it takes to resolve the issues) to ensure that WV provides a workplace that is in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations and maintains a safe and respectful environment.

    Coordinate the investigation of integrity and protection cases, ensure that transparency, confidentiality, integrity and objectivity are upheld throughout the process.

Workforce planning & Diversity Tracking / Monitoring

    Assist with workforce planning and tracking the diversity level in the organisation to ensure that WVR is an equal opportunities employer within the boundaries of being a faith-based organisation.

    Serve as the focal point for submitting workforce plans to regional and global P&C teams.

P&C Data / Systems

Coordinate with GC / EARO P&C and act as the National Office focal point for the gathering and maintaining of P&C data, to ensure that the right employee and organisational data is identified and tracked, monitoring mechanisms are developed and globally approved HR information systems (ie. PCIS) implemented.

P&C Policies

    Assist in ensuring that appropriate global/regional P&C policies have been contextualised, disseminated and implemented in the NOas well as ensuring appropriate NO specific policies are in place and are aligned to the local regulatory requirements.

    Play a key role in the revision of the P&C Manual

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

    Educational level required: A bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources/Business/Organisational Development or related field (A Master's will be an advantage)

    Experience: Approx 4-5 years in related HR experience and related experience in relevant fields with 1-2 years in served in a managerial capacity

    Technical Training qualifications required:

Knowledge of and/or experience across the portfolio desirable as this is a specialist HR background. The following specific experience would be beneficial:

    Technical knowledge and experience in handling complex organisational and culture change and managing projects.

    Knowledge and/or experience in aligning structures to strategy.

    Track record in implementing performance management and organisational frameworks across large complex and values based organizations.

    Knowledge and experience in organisation design and development and performance management that is contemporary, pragmatic and proven in execution linked to organisational performance.

    Experience in working within an international organisation

    Has business acumen and demonstrated capacity to work with a diverse group. Experienced in developing compelling business cases including financial investment, quantitative and qualitative metrics and ROI.

    Understanding of business needs and drivers and ability to deliver value added solutions

    Sound understanding of contemporary practice in the specialist field and experience in successfully implementing outcomes in complex settings. Current in theory, practice and technology

    Other:

    Good Cross-Cultural Communication and Facilitation skills

    Bias for action and capacity to deliver efficiently and effectively..

    Team management capabilities with experience in indirect leadership of teams and virtual teams to achieve strategic agenda.

    Strong demonstrable reserves of motivation and energy to embrace new challenges and craft impactful and sustained interventions in innovative ways

    Experience working with an NGO

    Clear and positive Christian faith commitment and capacity to provide leadership and guidance in this area

    Willingness and flexibility to travel within the country

Language

    Basic Conversation: English

    Business Communications: English

    Fully Fluent: English

    Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities and observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
