A leading Hotel Chain within Rwanda and with 4 hotel units in strategic tourism areas is seeking to fill positions in their respective units as follows.



Responsible for all the breads, pastries, cakes and confections, the Pastry Chef has a sweet job. As a Pastry Chef, you'll have the responsibility of developing and designing the confectionery shop menu as well as all bread items used by the restaurant. Creativity and an eye for beautiful presentation are must-have qualities


  • Responsible for creation of baked goods and desserts applicable to the bakery menu.
  • Will be required to train or supervise others.
  • Responsible for inventory and cost control in the bakery
  • Responsible for recipe creation and menu innovation.
  • Scheduling staff
  • Conducting food tastings for  potential clients
  • Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations
  • Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Able to prepare a wide variety of desserts and bread items like Cakes, chocolates, pies, tarts, cookies, souffl├ęs, truffles, and other delectable creations from scratch.
  • Ability to work in a team-driven environment, take direction, offer direction and assist with      problem solving.
  • An degree in culinary/catering field  majoring  in Pastry Arts and/or 3 to 5 years of like experience with an emphasis on high production.
  • Hotel and/or restaurant experience preferred.
