Our products combine solar energy with innovative mobile technology and micro-finance. Mobisol has currently installed over 20.000 systems in Tanzania and Rwanda and is scaling up rapidly. We aim to reach hundreds of thousands of households to stimulate economic and social development in East Africa while contributing to global environmental protection.

Mobisol expanded to Rwanda in early 2014 and has since proved that solar home systems are an ideal solution for off-grid electrification. Mobisol's proprietary solar home system (SHS) can power light bulbs, mobile chargers, radios, televisions, and even refrigerators.  It can be paid off in installments as low as 399 Frws per day. Building on the success story of Mobisol Rwanda Ltd., we seek to recruit one (1) Customer Care Officer.

Department: Country Office, National Hub, Customer Care Officer

The Customer Care Officer is responsible for handling customer calls (in- and outbound) to provide information and customer support such as the remote troubleshooting of technical and service-related issues.


  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls from customers with varying levels of questions and concerns
  • Conduct outbound calls to gather customer’s feedback for Mobisol’s customer satisfaction surveys
  • Resolve customer’s questions and concerns using a computerized system
  • Forward customer’s questions and concerns to the responsible department, if the problem cannot be solved by customer care
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts or Social Sciences
  •  Advanced knowledge of Excel spread sheets and data entry skills
  • Minimum experience of one year in customer service in a call centre environment and/or in a high call volume environment
  •  Experience assisting customers/clients with escalated issues
  • Proven critical thinking skills that demonstrate fact finding/analysis and sound decision making
  • Detail oriented and well-organized
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks while working under tight deadlines with close attention to detail, accuracy and quality at all times
  • Open to work in a flexible and creative work environment with fast-evolving operations
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.
