iNurture is a company that is uniquely positioned in the Education space in India. It partners with universities to create and conduct UG and PG courses on their campuses powered by content that is industry endorsed using contemporary pedagogue, with trained faculty who are subject matter experts, usually with industry experience on the subjects that they are teaching.

The company has seen three rounds of venture capital funding via Gujarat Ventures Limited, Ascent Capital and the last round via Bertelsmann.

With a core business model that has been proven, the company is now poised to scale both its classroom presence across locations, extend its expertise into blended and online distance education and also into University services, all as part of a phased expansion. iNurture is today managing around 150 classrooms across its partners which are expected to reach 500 in next 3 yrs.

We are now setting up a new campus in Kigali, Rwanda for which we are looking at recruiting few leadership positions such as Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dean, Controller of Exam etc...

Job Position: Registrar

Job Description;
The Registrar and Chief Operating Officer, subject to the direction of the Vice-Chancellor and President, hold the responsibility under University Statutes for the administrative and commercial strategy and delivery of the University goals.

Description of the Roles of the Registrar
  1. The University Registrar is responsible for the supervision and management of all administrative and operational functions of the Office of the Registrar of the University.
  2. The Registrar ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students; facilitate effective student registration and enrollment;
  3. builds secure student data files and sets policy and procedure for their responsible use;
  4. maintains up-to-date course schedules, catalogs, final examination schedules; manages efficient use of classrooms; and supervises and maintains the Banner and degree audit systems. 
  5. The Registrar supervises the processes for the articulation of transfer credits, graduation and certification of baccalaureate and associate degrees, enrollment and degree verification, production of official transcripts, diplomas, and commencement ceremonies.
  6. The Registrar counsels and advises students, faculty, and staff on academic matters; and interprets and enforces policies and regulations of the University and Boards.
  7. Additionally, the Registrar chairs the Registration, Credits, and Graduation Council, Calendar Committee, Registration Committee, Grade Appeal Committee for undergraduate students, Commencement Committee, Residence Rule Appeal Committee; and is a member of various other Councils and Committees.
The following shall be the duties and responsibilities of the Registrar;
  1. To be the custodian of the records and the funds and such other property of the university as the Board of Management may commit to his/her charge;
  2. To conduct the official correspondence on behalf of the authorities of the university;
  3. To issue notices convening meetings of the authorities of the university and all committees and sub-committees appointed by any of these authorities;
  4. To maintain the minutes of the meetings of all the authorities of the university and of all the Committees and Sub-Committees appointed by any of these authorities;
  5. To make arrangements for and supervise the examinations conducted by the university;
  6. To represent the university in suits or proceedings by or against the university, sign powers of attorney and verify pleadings or depute his/her representative for the purpose;
  7.  To enter into agreements, sign documents and authenticate records on behalf of the university;
  8. To make arrangements to safeguard and maintain the buildings, gardens, office, canteen, cars and other vehicles, laboratories, libraries, reading rooms, equipment and other properties of the university;
  9. To perform such other duties and functions as may be specified in the Rules or as may be assigned by the Board of Management or the Vice Chancellor from time to time.
