iNurture is a company that is uniquely positioned in the Education space in India. It partners with universities to create and conduct UG and PG courses on their campuses powered by content that is industry endorsed using contemporary pedagogue, with trained faculty who are subject matter experts, usually with industry experience on the subjects that they are teaching.

The company has seen three rounds of venture capital funding via Gujarat Ventures Limited, Ascent Capital and the last round via Bertelsmann.

With a core business model that has been proven, the company is now poised to scale both its classroom presence across locations, extend its expertise into blended and online distance education and also into University services, all as part of a phased expansion. iNurture is today managing around 150 classrooms across its partners which are expected to reach 500 in next 3 yrs.

We are now setting up a new campus in Kigali, Rwanda for which we are looking at recruiting few leadership positions such as Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dean, Controller of Exam etc...

Job Position:  Pro Vice- Chancellor (Academics)

Job Description;
The Pro Vice-Chancellors perform such duties as the Vice-Chancellor may delegate to them in the light of priorities of the University. The Pro Vice-Chancellors shall have the powers and duties as prescribed by Rules of the university.

Qualifications and Experience Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Have at least 10 years of experience in senior management positions.
  2. Have a good understanding of university functions, procedures and have experience in administrative leadership, strategic master planning.
  3. Have experience in human resource, performance contracting policies, and resource mobilization.
  4. Have a track record of success on expansion of physical facilities to cater for increased academic programmes and students’ enrolment.
  5. Demonstrate evidence of outstanding ability to communicate effectively and possession of good interpersonal skills.
  6. Demonstrate competence in academic leadership in academic/ research environment.
  7. Have a good understanding of the national policies and strategies governing university financing, education and training.
  8. Have a broad awareness of the factors and conditions shaping the development of higher education
  9. Have skills in computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications and an in depth knowledge of computerized accounting packages
  10. Monitor and evaluate progress in financial policies and procedures and identify control and process weaknesses.
  11. Develop, document, communicate and implement strategies to address these and revise approaches as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the departments within the division
  2. Develop and implement physical plans, and develop human resource planning to ensure efficient performance and delivery of services in line with the University’s strategic plan and performance contracting.
  3. Coordinate the design, implementation, maintenance and development of appropriate human resource policies, procedures and systems, activities stipulated in the performance contract; attract, develop and retain qualified and experienced human resources.
  4. Ensure that Performance contract reports follow-ups are submitted to the relevant authorities within the stipulated period.
