Youth Innovation Competition 2016

Never Again Rwanda is a peace-building and social justice organization that was founded in response to the 1994 genocide perpetrated against Tutsis. Guided by a vision of a nation where citizens are agents of positive change and work together towards sustainable peace and development, we aim to empower Rwandans with opportunities to become active citizens through peace building and development.

We place a particular emphasis on the youth as the future of a peaceful society. With nearly 13 years of experience, Never Again Rwanda is one of the leading national peace-building organizations in Rwanda.

NAR is pleased to announce a youth innovation competition that was designed to benefit youth groups affiliated to NAR and those outside NAR. Young professional with exceptional talents who are not affiliated to NAR Groups are also encouraged to apply. Youth from NAR affiliated groups will also compete as individuals but will demonstrate how their projects will benefit group members and community.

The main aim of the competition is to support youth develop income-generating projects that foster peace building within their communities. After submission of project proposals, 30 youth groups will have the opportunity to attend entrepreneurial and peace building sessions in order to aid towards their final project proposal submission.

The applications will be open from 1st -30th June 2016 and the winners will be announced on 15th August 2016 on the International day of Youth.
