Loan Field Officer


Job Vacancy: Loan Field Officer
Employer: Mobisol Rwanda Ltd

Department: Customer Finance, Regional / National Hub
Level: Mid-level professional / Senior
Contract: permanent
Working hours: Full-time

Responsibilities
The Loan Field Officer (LFO) is based out of Kigali. He/She is responsible for the two following tasks within his/her designated geographical area of assigned Market Hubs (MH): 

(1) supporting the customer assessment process;
(2) receivables work-out.

The LFO reports to the Supervising Loan Field Officer.

Activities   
The LFO is responsible to carry out the following tasks:
(1) Supporting the customer assessment process
Carry out field visits to analyse existing customers with the aim to gather data for Mobisols’ benchmark database
In the future:   Perform decision making within lines of Mobisols’ segmented approval rights

(2) Receivables work-out: 

  • Handle customers in late repayment according to
  • Mobisols’ escalation routine. Work-out strategies and designated tasks of the LFO include:
  •  Carry out phone calls with customers in late repayment
  •  Carry out field visits and analyse customers in late repayment
  •   Negotiate resumption of payment
  •   Carry out repossessions in case customer defaulted
  •   Establish and maintain relationship with local authorities
Requirements   
  • Only candidates living out of Kigali and possessing a driving license of Category A for Motorcycles will be considered
  • Diploma or Bachelors’ degree, preferably in Microfinance, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness or other related fields of studies such as Economics, Community Development Studies;
  • Relevant job experience, preferably as a loan officer or agricultural loan officer with a Microfinance Institution or SACCO is an asset. High priority will be given to those which have had a high exposure to individual lending methodology;
  • High level of familiarity with typical income, expenditure and cash flow patterns of rural households and micro enterprises, including those of farmers, livestock farmers, business owners (trade, services, production) and employees;
  • Strong ability to critically reflect self-reported household financial data;
  • Good knowledge background in agriculture (crop and soil variety, crop cycles, farming methodologies, crop yield, agricultural value chains and risks, etc.);
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to retrieve sensitive customer information
  •  High willingness to spend the majority of time travelling within assigned districts to meet customers
  • Openness to working in a flexible and creative work environment
  •  Very good organizational skills, dynamic self-starter and team player
  •  High level of self-motivation, with an ability to balance multiple tasks while working under tight deadlines with close attention to detail, accuracy and quality at all times
  •  Fluency in Kinyarwanda. English an asset.
  •  Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Excel and Word

Department: Country Office, National Hub, Customer Care Officer


Description
The Customer Care Officer is responsible for handling customer calls (in- and outbound) to provide information and customer support such as the remote troubleshooting of technical and service-related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls from customers with varying levels of questions and concerns
  • Conduct outbound calls to gather customer’s feedback for Mobisol’s customer satisfaction surveys
  • Resolve customer’s questions and concerns using a computerized system
  • Forward customer’s questions and concerns to the responsible department, if the problem cannot be solved by customer care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts or Social Sciences
  •  Advanced knowledge of Excel spread sheets and data entry skills
  • Minimum experience of one year in customer service in a call centre environment and/or in a high call volume environment
  •  Experience assisting customers/clients with escalated issues
  • Proven critical thinking skills that demonstrate fact finding/analysis and sound decision making
  • Detail oriented and well-organized
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks while working under tight deadlines with close attention to detail, accuracy and quality at all times
  • Open to work in a flexible and creative work environment with fast-evolving operations
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.

Job Description
The HR Officer Market Hub is responsible for the recruitment of Mobisol contractors, i.e. Sales Agents, Market Hub Operators and Mobisol Technicians. The selection of fitting, motivated, high-quality candidates is essential for Mobisol’s operations and future growth. The contractors shall be recruited in expansion areas of Mobisol, and will be trained in the MobisolAkademie prior to their work engagement. 

Responsibilities of the HR Officer Market Hub include:
  •     Publish job advertisements for contractors in local media, i.e. radio, newspapers, posters, and liaise with organisations and agenciesfor provision of candidates
  •     Be the first point of contact for all candidates responding to advertisements
  •     Meet applicants on site and shortlist based on a set of criteria
  •     Conduct interviews and select the most fitting candidates for training
  •     Communicate all relevant information on recruitment results and challenges to the MobisolAkademie management and other affected departments on a regular basis
  •     Further develop the profiles of the different Mobisol contractor types, to ensure highest quality for Mobisol’s operations
  •     Administrate contractor-related files, such as contact information and application documents
  •     Set up and maintain a contractor CV database for future recruitment rounds
 Requirements
  •     Strong experience in Human Resources, specifically in the field of recruitment
  •     Diploma in HR, psychology or in a business-related discipline
  •     Willingness to travel within Rwanda on a weekly basis, including overnight stays
  •     Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda
  •     Strong administration skills and structured, accurate way of working
  •     Very good communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Description
The Inventory Officer is primarily responsible for the continuous stock control and inventory management within the warehouse.
· Implement and supervise the continuous stock taking procedure
· Oversee all incoming and outgoing goods and record them
· Supervise periodic physical stock taking at the Regional Hub

Job Description
The Distribution Officer is responsible for the supply of our Shops all over Rwanda with Mobisol Solar Home Systems.
· Prepare the distribution plan to different Shops
· Prepare, distribute and file all documents related to the deliveries
· Constantly validation and reporting of the different shop inventories.
· The Distribution Officer reports to the Logistics Manager about the monthly distribution situation including a summary of all problems arising during the distribution

Job Discription

· Process purchase requisitions and orders within purchasing authority
· Negotiate contract terms and conditions, and maintain supplier relationships
